Thy neighbour hath been shot

So that's the end of the first Blipfoto weekly assignment. As we hoped, you interpreted the theme in a multitude of different ways - everything from the moon to a pile of concrete, and just about anything in between.

The response has been great (98 official entries at the last count) which means we can't possibly mention them all here. Instead, we thought we'd get the team at Blip HQ to pick out some of their favourites. So here they are, in no particular order:

Shoot Thy Neighbor...Yeah Right
Despite his best efforts to convince us otherwise, Scintilla has a very, very scary neighbour. (He's so mean that he turned from colour into black and white during the course of the week.) Great shot, Scintilla - remember to keep your hi-fi nice and quiet.

Shoot out
WhiteBalance has lots of neighbours, and they all shoot back. Three new Blippers there, we think.

Double homicide
Something's Missing and Barker team up once again for a double-blip. Posted in rapid succession, they even managed to travel side-by-side up the spotlight pages. Sadly, they'll become separated in the Blip mists of time, but wasn't it fun while it lasted!

Gathering evidence
A last-minute entry, but one of our firm favourites. Wingpig, we're really glad we're not your neighbour.

Sledge thy neighbour
Snow? In June? Surely there must be some mistake... a great reminder that this world's bigger than the internet makes us think it is.

Office in disguise
There's not much to say about this one, other than, well... just go and take a look.

If you want to browse through the rest of the entries, just search the tags for 'assignment1' (or click on 'assignment1' in the tags of any of the above entries).

Well, that worked out quite well. Shall we have another go?

It's the 4th of July next week and someone suggested 'Independence Day' as the next theme. Hmmm, we thought.... that's a bit obvious (and might encourage Scintilla to shoot his neighbour again).

So, with a little Blip-twist this week's theme is 'Dependence Day'.

Please tag your images with 'assignment2' this time. If you don't have tags enabled, just click on 'settings' in the 'My Journal' section of your left hand menu, then check the box next to 'Display tags'. On step 2 of the upload process, you'll then see a box to pop your tags in.
