The last hockey match!
Today was the last hockey match that Luke will ever play at school - the end of the season, and the end of an era. Thankfully it all ended on a good note - he played extremely well today, (a worthy recipient of his hockey colours award) and they won 7-0. It was amazing to see how their confidence grew as the score climbed higher, and by the end of the game they were scoring in about 4 clever passes, it looked as easy as skipping stones into the goal. If only they had played like that all season! We all felt sad that it was yet another thing that had come to an end. I took many action shots today and also some lovely team photos, but decided to blip this one of the boys in the goal during a short corner.
Now we are going out to supper to celebrate Luke's 18th birthday. He has had a busy week and there was no time to celebrate on the day.
