December Moon

I love this time of year, and the view from my living room window is terrific, I love the cold and I love the Christmas nonsense as well, although think I have my Dad (and his employer) to blame.
As a wee boy my dad worked for the Electricity Board (remember them) and every December was the kids Christmas party which was held in a log built hall deep in the Galloway forest (which I believe is the largest in Europe), after an afternoon of Jelly and Ice cream and cartoons on a projector that kept breaking down, the lights were lowered and we were taking outside to see Santa emerging from within the forest picked out by a single spotlight, the effect on a wee boy was electric (no pun intended), a happy time which I have always cherished.
So happy December to you all and if you see me out Christmas shopping, I'll stand you a yule drink to celebrate.
