Christmas festivness
Sorry to use the 'C' word, but there seems to be a lot of it about lately.
Christmas trees seem to be springing up all over the building - nice jolly festive plastic ones with lights and baubles and crackers and cubes of air wrapped up in festive gift wrap and bows... I think I'm going to throw up!
We can't be thinking about christmas - there's still too much work to do.
In our office, we have an advent calendar. It arrived yesterday to tell us that it is December and the year is nearly over. It has 25 regularly regimented little doors and underneath them are festive chocolate shapes. From what I remember of the Advent Calendars that you got when I was little was that you also had little doors, but these little doors were smaller and better hidden with nice little pictures underneath them. It was all about the countdown.
Now I'm grown up, you get chocolates, and in this case a chance to discover what the fairy has hidden under the top part her dress. I had the task of opening that one.
I'm not quite sure exactly what eating chocolate out of a fairy's tit has got to do with Christmas, though.
Blimey, that was a sentence I never thought I would write.
Edit: BTW today marks the death of Analogue TV in Manchester. Apparently it was switched off at midnight. I know a person who is buying her Granny a freeview box for Christmas - oops.
