Another First

My father-in-law is quite the gardener. I am fortunate, because he is also a very generous man. Every plant he gets for himself, he gets one for our new home. This is our first Dahlia, and our first bloom of the season. Can't wait to see what other colors we'll get. I have 5 other Dahlias with buds, but no blooms yet. It's supposed to be down in the 40s later this week, so we are about a month behind with a lot of the typical pollinating & blooming this time of year.

Today I am thankful for a productive day, and now a relaxing evening.
