Perseverence

perseverance: persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success


A low energy day but as I'd made plans to meet friends in Bath to pass on a birthday present, off I went to catch the bus. A bitterly cold wind was blowing straight into the bus stop but I waited patiently. The first bus didn't turn up, no sign of the second bus either, nor the third. But I persevered. After waiting 40 minutes in my wind tunnel, the first bus turned up, 36 minutes late, due to an accident that had closed the main road the other side of town.

So no shots of Georgian Bath today I'm afraid; by the time I arrived in town I had no energy to even think about taking photos. Instead you have these courageous weeds who kept me company during my wait at the bus stop. Despite the pavement being resurfaced only two weeks ago, they too have persevered, and have managed to force their way back up to the surface.
