Life! The Universe! Everything!

Anyone who has read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy will know that the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42. This was the answer that the Deep Thought Computer came up with after seven- and- a- half million years. When challenged over the answer the computer said it didn't think the programmers really knew what the question was.

Some of us are getting together in a few weeks' time (a bit sooner than the computer managed!) to discuss life, the universe and everything - and we hope that we can come up with a better answer than 42.

If you had one question you could ask the Deep Thought Computer, what would it be? Two commonly asked questions are: If there is a god why does he allow suffering? Does my life have any particular purpose? But I'm sure you can think of other questions.

Anyone can join in. It doesn't matter whether you call yourself Christian, pagan, atheist or agnostic; or whether you prefer not to stick a label on yourself.
