Mighty Oak

This Mighty Oak stands along the Green Lane in Faccombe, one of our most favourite places for walking. Today the storm was brewing in the sky and as we kept wakling faster to get to the woods before the downpour, the oak stood proud stretching its branches into the black clouds without fear.
First came the hailstones crushing down, then the thunder and lightning.
We got back to the car drenched and cold. Shortly after that, as we drove home, the sun came out shining again.
