Comet Puffer
Katie simulating the sun blowing a tail off a comet at The Dunbar Science Festival this afternoon. We attended several brilliant sessions, this one by the lovely Tania Johnston who cooked up this comet with the ever-popular dry ice and a load of "dirty snowball" ingredients. It was also great to learn the sign-language (which I think is newly invented) for the planets of our Solar System - the inner 4 being rocky were a clenched fist with gestures whilst the outer 4 were a ring formed with the hand with gestures. Brilliant!
The sun shone, the Firey Physics show was outdoors with ice creams... what could be better?
