Newhaven

Had a rather unexpected day at the seaside today :) We were due to go into London and go to an exhibition, but I wasn't feeling great, so Tim suggested we just hop in the car and head down to the South Coast instead. We went and did our usual weekend shopping at Sainsbury's, came back and made lunch, then the plasterers turned up to do the ceilings in our living and dining rooms. We helped them clear everything out of both rooms in record time, then got out of the flat to leave them to it.

Drove to Worthing first - got out for a few minutes on the beach, but it was pretty bracing (for 'bracing,' read 'cold'), so we got back in the car and drove on through Brighton and ended up in Newhaven. Interesting bit of beach there, with an old fort up above it. Had a cool air of dereliction about it - fun to wander around with a camera.

Came back home, had dinner, then went back out to our friends Kirsty and Ron's for a housewarming party. Had a great evening - and managed not to drink too much, hooray :)
