First attempt ...

I resisted the temptation of blipping more pictures from the garden so that I could blip my first attempt at Sourdough Bagels ... not the most professional of shapes and slightly too crunchy (the oven was too hot ... or they were in for too long ... or both!?!?) but they taste fantastic!
And yes, that’s my Sourdough Starter bubbling away in the kilner jar behind.
I don't use traditional (brewers) yeast any more - sourdough for everything ... seeded, wholemeal and/or malted bread, focaccia and ciabatta, as well as the traditional white sourdough loaf ... and now bagels too.

It’s been a good day - for the first time I feel I'm winning in the fight with the chest infection. I managed to garden between the rain/hail showers (weeding, my least favourite gardening task),
- as well as bake. I'm now going to do a bit of house work (then lie down with a Gin & Tonic).
