Schools out!

This morning Murron picked up Alfie and by so doing set off a rather catastrophic chain of events. Stooping to pick up the reluctant kitten she knocked the ironing board which fell on her taking with it a picture which duly smashed sending shards of glass flying which frightened Alfie so much that he tore her wee hand to shreds (slight exageration, but mere scratches they were not!) which sent the kettle flying and water everywhere and with it the glass cookie jar (which miraculously did not break) and left Murron sobbing holding out her hand to me. We cleaned it, put magic cream on, bandaged it up and since then she has been showing it off proudly to anyone who will look!

I promised Rowan that I would mention that she baked a scrumdiferous chocolate cake to celebrate the beginning of the summer holidays. Let the FUN commence :-)
