The road home...

...from Thornhill in Dumfriesshire after a very lovely surprise 70th birthday party for my wonderful Aunt Kate. I too often forget how glorious the landscape is in this part of the world - dramatic hills and meandering burns - just beautiful.

The weekend has taken a wee bit of a toll on my poorly ankle though - which is now developing a whole new rainbow of bruising. At least I can actually put weight on it today - the healing power of a family party clearly!
