Schloss Phillippsruhe Hanau

Spring is in the air and the Magnolia is in bloom. This is near the river Maine. It was a cold day but we still had a very pleasant walk. Meanwhile, back at home, Arsenal are out of the race, and there is a resurgent Liverpool. Not that we are bothered about football these days - but it takes your mind off other things I suppose. It is going to be an interesting (worrying) year with the Ukraine crisis and then the Scottish vote on independence. Germany sits like a rock or Schloss in the middle of all of this. It is the economic powerhouse of Europe - but seems to take a fairly neutral political role.
