Life in a Northern Town.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

I went for a walk to clear my head today. I ended up, as I often do, on the Leeds-Liverpool canal, heading East.

Partway along the canal, near the railway station, there was a man feeding the ducks with bread, which was attracting the attention of the gullies. I do love gullies, so I started snapping away with my Nikon and my fabulous 55-200mm lens, that I'm a bit in love with.

The man asked me if I was a press photographer, and I explained that I'm not, I just take photographs for fun. To which he replied "What a lovely job."

Snapping gullies doesn't pay the bills. But it does make me happy.
