A & Z's

We visited A&Z this evening after A called round this afternoon on his motorbike. Z and R were clearing the garden, preparing for spring vegetables. The old pear tree had been cut down to allow some light into that part of the garden but some blue bells were flowering to compensate for its loss. We were offered some fresh pike and some baked apples. I also ate some of their latest batch of home cured ham, another art they have been perfecting this winter.

They are going to visit Georgia fairly soon flying over the Crimea apparently. They quite often go on an exotic holiday at this time of year. They went to Albania a few years ago. I have some recollection of them going to Belarus last year when their car broke down rather disappointingly.

We didn't stay too late since I'm feeling a bit off colour. This is a shot of their pretty and interesting house as we left.
