The Boxcar Children

Probably my favorite books growing up were the original Boxcar Children books by Gertrude Chandler Warner. I loved reading about the adventures of the four children who made a home for themselves in an abandoned boxcar that sat alongside a creek. According to Wikipedia there are now over 100 books in the series written by multiple authors.
Hard to see because of the brush and snow, is a small creek running along side this old boxcar. I sure wonder how and why it was placed here. Wouldn't it have made the perfect playhouse?
