Strictly for the birds

From pink and upwardly mobile (they grow tilting up to the sky, rather down towards the ground) to bird food. When we took the dogs for a walk today, we found new growth sprouting vigorously round the pink banana plants that had been slashed back. Two hands were still intact and the fruit on two others had ripened and popped open.

A drizzly day, temperature 14 C and dropping – some change from last week’s 35 C+. Strange that even knowing that we’ll see blue skies again soon, there’s an immediate dip in one’s mood. Having said that, I found myself feeling ridiculously happy after we got back from our walk. Can’t be bad.

I think it has to be bacon and eggs for supper, after sausages for lunch – a totally sinful Sunday.
