Great Blue Heron

We were in New Hampshire this afternoon and drove around looking for Snowy Owls at nearby Salisbury Beach back over the line in Massachusetts. We decided to drive up the coast a bit towards Rye when T spotted this Great Blue Heron fishing in the salt marsh beside the road. He posed as no other heron has ever for me(and another woman who stopped too), it was breathtaking. He was absolutely so gorgeous and so focused on his fishing.

This day came in cloudy and brisk with sunny breaks. A biting wind, but lovely air by the sea.
