La Calera with Miguel, Gina, Trey and wee Azali

After looking for a flat to rent in Bogota we went to visit my friend Gina. She lives in la Calera which is about a 45 minute bus journey into the hills north east of Bogota. She took us to her parents restaurant even further into the hills. Her parents were lovely and welcoming and we had a great afternoon trying out different dishes! They fed us so well Miguel was in heaven! After lunch we went for a walk. The landscape around the restaurant is a little like the Swiss Alps and has Colombia's largest diary farm which was first started by two Swiss diary farmers! After the restaurant we went back to Gina's flat and spent some lovely time with Azali. She's now 2 months old and growing fast - She has this beautiful grin which shows all her gums!
