spilt milk and birthdays

Out for an early tea to celebrate Mr B's impending birthday, Eve made her presence known by spilling a huge milkshake. I enjoyed telling her there's no use crying over spilt milk - as did everyone else in the place. We Brits are nothing if not predictable!
