Bipping the Blipper
After an early start and a busy morning I got an email from Pete (pictured) forwarding an email from Lawrence the dealer saying that at 12:30 there would be a flypast consisting of a Tristar, Hercules and an Airbus 330 (Lawrence works for Marshall Nissan, part of the Marshall group which includes an airport and a load of aviation engineering). Needing a break I nipped across to Pete's office which is next to the Airport. 12:30 came and went with no flypast but lots of people staring into the sky. Then everyone left. One of the Marshalls people said it would happen at 13:10 so we went for coffee. At 13:05 we were all back outside when the Tristar flew past, on it's own. I took a few test shots but they were rubbish so I deleted them. We then all waited for the main event, and waited and waited, and then the Marshalls folks trooped off, apparently that Tristar test was in fact the main flypast with the other planes not turning up. Typical.
So here is Pete, bored watching Mikey and I (and some bloke called Dave apparently) watch other people watching the sky.
