Sock knitting with dk yarn instead of the usual 4 ply, which is much quicker to knit up. I would quite like to learn the technique for knitting two socks at the same time as it can get tedious doing them one at a time.
The 'Wendy Merino' yarn works really well for socks and it wears surprisingly well for merino.
