we were determined!

We had gone all the way to Holkham, stayed over night at a B&B, and were determined to walk on the beach on Sunday morning. Well, when we got to the car park it was chucking it down with rain, but I could glimpse a bit of blue on the horizon and the wind was blowing our way, so I said, let's give it 20 minutes and see if the rain stops.

Hey, presto, it did! So, we set off in the final spitting throes of the band of clouds, and by the time we got to the beach it was actually blue and sunny! We were fortunately bundled up warm, as it was only about 4 c. We had a great time gathering shells and other treasures, and in about 40 minutes, the next band of clouds started rolling in and we got back to the car before the rain started up again.

A glorious interlude, timed to perfection, celebrating Gill's birthday.
