Bristol - spike island.

Staying overnight at the Bristol Hotel so here early to bag some free parking in the adjacent NCP.

Stopped off at m shed for a quick snoop and some coffee and cake to aid with the itinerary planning. This is one of the old cranes.

Decided to visit the SS Great Britain, quite unnerving going 'under water' - sheet of glass at the waterline with water flowing over it, then you go underneath onto the floor of the dry dock with it all above you.

After a walk to the end of spike island to take in some views of Clifton suspension bridge stopped for some lunch before a walk up to Cabot Tower. An ice cream later and then a walk down the hill to the cathedral and Council House.

A walk along the river and then dinner in the Pump House, drink in The Cottage pub, before some night photography on the walk back to the hotel. Even saw a heron doing some night fishing! Feet ache - but a great day.
