El bosque nuboso

Camera trapping but coming back empty handed though I know there are animals in this valley, many. Last year on this same game trail by the stream they captured a shot of a puma in full view and the locals say a bear holes up close by in this valley. I blame it on our cameras, pretty crummy little guys. On Stu´s suggestion and curiousity we set them up without scent to attact animals. And then there is the fact that the cameras have about a 40 second lag time to focus and shoot on anything. Sigh...oh the possibilities missed!

I don´t care though. It´s a pleasure walking through this valley. The valley of Gasualpampa. The cloud forest dripping with orchids and bromeliads. A tangled mossy jungle of life pregnant with hidden secrets.
