Annunciation

It's 9 months to the day until Christmas Day, so we have the feast of the Annunciation, the angel's visit to Mary and the Holy Spirit upon her. I don't have any annunciation specific icons kicking about the place, but this Russian Holy Family one has the flavour and elements of what this day is the beginning. Between rain outside, telephone meetings and a whole load of 'stuff' going on, this feels a very frantic annunciation day indeed. Time to calm, centre and reflect.
