Enchanted Forest

I came to Istanbul from Tunis. The potential deal-breaker on the move was that there be appropriate space for my dog. The Headmaster assured me that Robert College was a dog-friendly space and that several campus residents had canine companions.

Every now and then I stop to appriciate the truth of that. This is a city of 15 million inhabitants that grew without any concept of urban planning. There is nowhere else in Istanbul I could have landed and had all this for Libby. I chafe at the isolation from most of what is exciting about Istanbul, but love me, love my dog.
