Home sweet home
The weather is pretty uninspiring from a blip point of view -- overcast and rainy. So I thought I'd treat you to a bit of classic Delta architecture. Almost all older houses are very simple, single-storey and white, often with green or red trimmings. The traditional limewashed barracas in the rice paddies have roofs thatched with reeds, but this rather smart little villa on the outskirts of Deltebre is tiled. And they almost always have one or two trees: palm, fig, sometimes a plum or apple tree. I suspect this is a summer residence as there's no sign of life.
