Intergenerational

My good friend Margaret drives the bus that brings the ladies and gents of the community to The Garrison Library to attend the intergenerational afternoon. My P7 class have an after school club from 3 - 4.30pm every Friday afternoon and give splendid and much sought after advice to their "buddies" on all things gadgetish, electrical or "smart". We are the "Smart Class"!

Yes - Friday after school and ALL the class attends. Of course chocolate biscuits, tea and juice are on offer half way through.

This week, we showed the buddies how to use the Wii. There is something rather magical, if not tear jerking, to see an 89 year old lady smacking as good as the next guy at boxing - in fact, a pretty good right hook!

Another was totally astonished when she could feel the vibrations of the baseball bat as she smacked it into the arena!

The stuff of wonder and….quality relationships.

Such a marvellous and rewarding end to the week. A worthy back blip!
