The Freaky Fountain

Wandered into the riverside section of York House gardens to say hello to "the naked ladies", as they're called locally. She's just one of them.There is a more formal description but I prefer the name our friends Sarah, Alex and Issy gave to this surprising assembly of marble statues. For me 'The Freaky Fountain' sums it all up very neatly.


Cascade, Pool and Oceanides in Italian white marble. Believed to have come from the Roman studio of Orazio Andreoni. Now in York House Gardens, Twickenham.
