Oh so pretty!

I acquired a lovely houseplant a few months ago, see this shot from October last year. Its previous owner promised me that it had lovely white and purple flowers in the spring, and sure enough it has. I suspect they are bracts rather than flowers but my knowledge of botany is from fifty years ago and is now much dimmed by time. Who cares really? The joy is created from what it looks like in the here-and-now. Gorgeous!
