So Long Jill.....
.....we said farewell to a dear family friend, Jill Lockie, today. She came to live in Drumbeg with her husband Trevor in 1980's seeking an alternative lifestyle. Initially they lived aboard a boat in Loch Shark, a remote spot, even for remote North West Scotland. They lived off the land and any meat (typically red dear) was caught by Trevor with his longbow......they were people looking for the good life and had flower generation values and attitudes. After a series of harsh winters, they settled in the metropolis of Drumbeg (population 65), integrating well with highland village life. Jill was a lovely person and although her own health wasn't good, she travelled to Edinburgh to help with chummeryken's care in his final few weeks. I'll always be grateful for having met her.
RIP Jill.
Life goes on for some ....and on a very much brighter note we're heading out to Potterrow Union for a night of Mr Scruff. 11pm start.....will my old bones last until 3am?
