In this picture my mum is holding a tiny me. I imagine that being my mum can't have been an easy job (yes, I can be stubborn and even as an eight year old I always wanted my say) but I really appreciate everything you've done, mum. For the holidays, our lovely Lucky, the school runs, the friends who came to play at short notice, the plastic cups you collected for my insect farm and the art projects you helped me to complete and much more. You have always supported me in my interests and ambitions but never tried to change me. You have always been there to give advice, to have a chat or just to simply listen and you continue to be now.

Today I would like to wish my mum a very Happy Birthday.
