Smile....

After a rather long day smiling is not really high on the agenda but I must admit I am happy to be back at the airport. Hiring a car and putting your upmost faith in a Sat Nav to get you over to a meeting in another country on time and on your own is pretty nerve racking. Fortunately all went smoothly on the way out though putting your upmost faith in a Sat Nav went down the toilet on the way back as it ran out of battery and wouldn't charge - not what you need when you have a flight to catch and on a motorway on the Dutch / German border. Fortunately my Geography degree came in handy... as the signposts guided me in. Lessons learnt today? Don't trust the battery life of a Sat Nav, German motorways are quick and if you arrive back in one piece - smile and relax.
