Carnasserie Castle

A beautiful spring day today, the first that I have really felt it was spring. Jacket off and cleared the greenhouse in the morning and in the afternoon went for a walk up the hill behind the village of Kimartin.

This is Carnasserie castle and I have blipped it before here, from the road below, Today I took this with my long lens from the hill opposite. I loved the dramatic lighting and I thought it looked warm and friendly and not spooky in this light. You can walk up to the castle using the track shown bottom right and it's a great place to explore. Maybe if the weather holds I will go to the top and show you the view from the top of the ramparts.
