Knackered

This is my ultrasonic scaler at my main place of work the vintage tone is on purpose; it's 12 years old and put through its paces pretty much all day every day.

Yet I (& others) get my ear bent by the Boss when it breaks down (which is more & more lately). 'You abuse it' or 'you lot don't take care of things'.
I'd say he's had his money's worth out of it, nothing lasts forever!

Mostly it just stops working completely so we send it off for repair. Today however it was working fine but when I released the foot pedal, the water jet continued to gush.

Turning the thing off at the wall didn't even cure it; still it gushed. In the end, I had to switch off all power to the dental chair, which was a right royal pain in the arse back for me keep twisting & turning to turn the damned thing on and off as I needed it.

So now we are both knackered; my scaler is incontinent and my back is broken. Still, could be worse.....could be the other way round :-0
