Forsythia

Named after a William Forsyth in the 18C who was a botanist, royal gardener and a founder member of the Royal Horticultural Society. The plant was originally found in the Far East.

Took myself off to town this morning with a bag of clothes for the charity shop. I usually wear my clothes for decades until they wear out but these clothes were in good shape, I had outsized them!! In their stead I bought some clothes for the summer, brightly coloured and made out of cotton, hoping there will ample opportunity to wear them later on!
