Gannet
We have had a really great day at St Abb’s Head to day. The dramatic cliffs provide a spectacular landscape from which to watch thousands of nesting seabirds, including gannets, guillemots, kittiwakes and razorbills all of which we have seen today.
At the start of the day I didn’t think I would get close enough to the seabirds to get close up images as they were nesting on the shear cliffs but I was lucky enough to capture this image of a Gannet and I can’t explain how pleased I am.
Among the other birds seen today was a Peregrine which was also lovely to see.
