Meet the Morgans

By familymorgan

A good but busy day today. Miraculously both children slept until the alarm went off. Isaac would have slept longer if it wasn't for Amelie, I'm sure. Then we got ready quickly to walk up to Amelie's new nursery for a visit. When we arrived I was a bit unsure...it's in the village hall and so was quite a bit space with what looked like, initially, very little to do. But after the children came in and got busy I could see that it was exactly the right amount of activities. The set up impressed me, the outside space was fantastic (trees to climb, tyre swings, play houses, mud pits, space to grow things, sand, sensory area...)and the children seemed happy and busy. Just what we like! Amelie proved just how far she's come since that first day in nursery last January and settled down to play. She was very reluctant to leave when it was time! I feel happy we have found somewhere so nice for her but a bit sad she is only going to be there until June. It is 30 minutes walk away so we had a nice walk back, stopping off at the shop to buy some bits for lunch. Amelie chose tomato soup and crusty bread. Isaac fell asleep before home so he slept whilst we had lunch. I did some sorting and tidying after he woke and we went up to their bedroom so I could so some work in there. They watched a bit of cbeebies whilst I made dinner then Daddy came home to supervise dinner and bath whilst I put the (almost) finishing touches to their room so they can sleep in there tonight. After baths we skyped Nana and Dadcu but even though this seemed to tire Amelie out, it made Iaaac a bit hyper and he then refused to sleep(a phase he's going through as well I think)Amelie fell asleep despite the noise he was making and I brought him back downstairs where he stole bits of my dinner (exactly the same as he'd had!) before falling asleep. So they are both asleep in their own beds, in their new room for the first time! Chris just needs to put up some pictures and two more ikea hacked spice racks (book shelves!) then it's done! Unfortunately our room has ended up with all the other stuff in it...so it's awful! Our poor neglected room. Living room next though! After France....ahh a holiday! Just what I require!
