The Calm Before the 10 o'clock Latte Storm
Another early rise from Little Miss E....more matchsticks needed for my eyes today.
Had various chores to do round town today, including what felt like a visit to every bank to do banking for my work, scouts, sports relief and personal, but she enjoyed pressing the disabled access buttons going in and out the doors.
We went to our favourite, pram friendly ye olde coffee shop chain this morning and it was nice and quiet, to have our usual. As I frequent it on a regular basis (ssshhh don't tell the other half) I now appreciate that I need to get there before 10am. If not there appears to be a barrage of prams, yummy mummies (and the not so yummies), tea breakers, and the "oh I haven't seen you in ages, mwah mwah" brigade descend upon the tranquility of my people watching. Hence, this is my Blip today, my quiet, coffee filled, sanctuary, where I like to chat with my daughter and secretly people watch.
Managed a quick 4 mile interval session tonight and Im pleased to report that my blisters are going and my poor toenails are on the mend. so Im hoping the reduced running until the big day, helps towards the healing process.
Im also the Treasurer for my local Scout Group, and after two years I am stepping down. Tonight, the new treasurer popped round to see what its all about and how I work. Hopefully I haven't scared him off with my spreadsheets!
