Teasel Moths
This Pseudo-Pterophorid is a very difficult creature to capture.
One must first track down teasels which have been infested by their larvae.
They overwinter as pupae then hatch on a warm spring day but they are imprisoned within the teasel head. A rare event must then occur: the teasel must be distorted with the application of a polar-coordinates filter to free the adult moths which I have captured here.
