Her: the Past and the Future

Something from the past and something from the future…

Todays blip pic is of a drawing I did in yesterday Life Drawing class where we had a male model. Life drawing is rarely taught these days and its no longer part of the curriculum in art colleges.

And for a glimpse into our possible future? Well we have just been to see the film “Her”, about a man who falls in love with his operating system, Samantha, only to find she is two timing him or to be precise, she has 13560 other “relationships”.
Oh yes and the operating systems can update themselves and Samantha has decided she wants out.
This is not as sci-fi as you might expect because there are already robots begin developed as carers for the elderly in Japan and the early results suggest folk might actually prefer them’
