Ginnel

The path behind the police college is old. Stone flags hemmed in by a high wall on one side and railings on the other. Tall trees overhang from both sides and years of detritus covers the floor. Mostly leaf-litter but a fair scattering of old coffee cups and cigarette ends from the college, as trainees sneak into the snicket for a crafty fag.

We use the alley quite often, it joins the new road to Bishopgarth, passing the Playing fields of QEGS and the back of the seat of law-enforcement learning.

It's a very nice ginnel, if a little untidy, and it makes you think of better days.
