Wightwick Manor.....

Near Wolverhampton, once owned by the Mander's Family the Paint and Varnish Millionaires. The last owner was Geoffrey Mander who in 1937 left the house and all it's contents to the National Trust. They didn't want it at first but when Mr Mander offered shares in his company they snatched his hand off.
He then knew that his home and all the art in it was safe and would never be split up for taxes and that made him very happy.

Mrs BM and I never knew this beautiful house existed until we went there today, just 12 miles from our house.
