Baaa bara

Baaa-bara, or more accurately the pattern and wool for, came with a knitting magazine. For the first bit of knitting, the body, I hated it / her. Boucle wool. Never knitted with that before.

A straight inner thread has a curly (Alex Kingston curly!) thread wrapped around it. On occasion, it's hard to see which is the stitch and which is the frothy extra bit.

Anyway. This took about 4 hours to knit and a lifetime to sew up. I may be exaggerating a bit. May have only been 3 1/2 hours to knit.

In other news, yesterday's curry was well received and there was a drop left over for tea. :-)
