Big Waves

We spent the afternoon at Hotel Las Palmas with our friends from Washington State. The waves were amazing and I of course took many photos of them curling into green walls of water and then crashing onto the beach in a flurry of white foamy froth. Unfortunately as is often the case, the photos did not do justice to the actual event. With neither sound nor spray, my many wave photos were somewhat lacking. There was no sense of the size of these monsters as they hit the beach. I did capture this one shot of our two friends playing catch with a crashing wave in the background. It gives a small idea of the size of the water, though this was not the biggest wave to hit the beach in the five hours we spent eating, drinking, and enjoying a non-working day at Las Palmas.
