Venus is our Christmas star

We went out and bought a Christmas tree today. Very early but it will give us time to decorate it for our gathering next weekend.

But horror of horrors, we have no star (or fairy - yuck) for the top! So Venus obligingly hovered above my favourite poplar tree - unfortunately either it or the tree (ha) had moved before I could get my camera and tripod
