March 27th 2009 - Team Surf

I woke still drunk from the night before, dressed and stumbled down the road for breakfast. I tried to act sober but I am not sure I passed it off. People compared sunburn (Hilde won that battle) and then we headed out surfing once again after Camilla painted our faces with some colourful sun lotion. Surfing was, once again, awesome. We were set free and only had helpful hints given to us from the beach but after a slow start, and a bit of patience, I started getting the hang of it again. It is such a feeling when you get up and ride the wave but even on the second day I was still enjoying the falls.

After lunch at the same funky little place as the day before we went to a shop to have some custom designed shorts made for us. Camilla designed me some shorts which I get to pick up tomorrow. I checked some emails, went to watch the other group of surfers – their team photo here is the blip – and take some photos, home to shower and sooth the burns before enjoying some more hammock time. It was then back to the beach for sunset before more milkshakes and heading out to tea. I shared a nice chat with Sally on the way back to the hostel and relaxed with some of the others watching ‘Zack and Miri Make A Porno’.
