New Runners

These are my new running shoes.
They were a prize donated by Sweatshop running store for being the parkrunner of the month last month at Longrun Meadow parkrun.
The prize was a voucher for a pair of running shoes- any pair of running shoes!
It just so happens that the ones that suited me best were these £150 Brooks Transcend. When I was trying out shoes in the shop I was unaware of the price! They have only been available for a few days here in the UK.
I have worn them three times now- this morning I ran 10k in them. They feel good but I'm not sure I can tell a huge difference between these and my Ascics Kayanos....
I am doing my first 10k race a week on Sunday- not sure which shoes to wear?!?
